It's stallion auction season! Bidding for the WPRA PESI Stallion Auction opens October 10, 2026 at 12:00am MT and closes November 30, 2026 at 6:00pm MT.
The WPRA Pro Elite Sire Incentive (PESI) program rewards stallion owners, offspring owners, and breeders every time a horse succeeds at PESI-approved events. Built with the rodeo horse in mind, PESI is one of the few incentive programs that covers futurity, derby, open jackpots, and professional rodeo. The annual auction, added in 2019, lets stallion owners donate a breeding. Owners may also enroll as reference stallions by paying a yearly fee.
PESI helps market stallions to a wide audience while paying bonus money to stallion owners for winning offspring. Offspring owners earn bonuses for competing and placing at approved events, and breeders are rewarded for choosing enrolled stallions. Proceeds support the overall program and add value across the barrel racing and rodeo industries.
