How Stallion Auctions Online Got Started

In 2007, the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association wanted to move their annual stallion service auction online. At the time, those auctions were done at banquets. The association wanted to reach more bidders and raise more money for their programs. There was no ready-made solution built for this specific kind of auction, so we built one.

The first version was basic. It did what it needed to do and not much more. What happened after that is what shaped everything you see today. Associations asked for things. Credit card verification at registration. Maximum bidding like eBay. A buy-it-now period after the auction closes. Favorites tracking. Multiple photos and video on each listing. A full pedigree template.

Every feature on this platform exists because an association needed it and asked for it. Nothing was added to look impressive on a feature list.

Who Is Behind Stallion Auctions Online

Tom Bruch built Stallion Auctions Online in 2007 and still runs it today. He is involved with every client and every auction season. That has not changed since the beginning.

Tom and our team take the success of each association personally. If an auction raises more money this year than last, that matters to us. If something comes up during a live auction, we are on it. The platform exists to help associations raise money for their programs. That is the whole point of it.

Our design team works directly with each association through the build process and stays in close communication from start to launch. They handle the design work and make sure your auction site looks and feels like it belongs to your association. Most associations work with our design team more than anyone during setup.

Our technical team handles the software installation, payment configuration, email setup, and anything that comes up during the auction itself.
